Expect the use of props, myofasical release techniques and meditation.

Gosh Yoga

Gosh Yoga develops breath, balance, mobility, and strength. Still postures with steady breathing activate and stretch muscles to bring awareness and focus on the body. Relaxing pauses calm the breath and allow return of blood flow to muscles, joints, and organs in resting position. In each class, students open and align joints and organs, to reduce wear, release tight fascia, and open channels for energy movement in the subtle body. Students will find focus and concentration to meditate and live healthier.

Wednesdays 745-845pm with Conan

Vinyasa Yoga

Join our recent Teacher Training grads for a by-donation Vinyasa class! This class is open to all-levels. Vinyasa draws on Hatha practice, incorporating meditation with breath and movement. Vinyasa is a moving meditation, flowing through poses with your breath. Poses help build strength, stamina, balance, and flexibility to create space within the body and calm the mind.

Beginner Yoga

All our classes are accessible to beginners, as we practice gentle styles of yoga. Our instructors are experienced to guide you based on your specific needs. If you are looking for a challenge, they can also help you find your edge! Gentle Hatha and Yin Yoga are great starting points for two very different styles. Hatha actually refers to postures (or Asanas) in the 8 Limbs of Yoga. The 8 Limbs are the 8 ways to practice yoga on the path to a bliss state, including; Yamas (restrictions), Niyamas (observances), Asanas (postures), Pranayama (breathwork), Pratyahara (withdrawal of senses), Dharana (focused meditation), Dhyana (inspired meditation), and Samadhi (bliss or ananda). Within Hatha, we find two general types of yoga – yin and yang. Yin is passive yoga, where by we work with the body. Yang forms of yoga are active, that focus on alignment for integrity and safety. They include; Hatha (as we know it in the West), Vinyasa/ Flow, Power yoga etc. At Studio 202, we offer a blend of styles to help balance the mind, body, and soul with a focus on gentle, healing, and accessibility. If you aren’t sure which type is right for you, try our Intro Pass – 3 classes for $30. A private session is also a great place to start to get the basics for a Yang style practice or meditation.
